Womb Tending became a thing in my life after awakening to Womb Wisdom. I still wonder how it could be that the Womb is the most powerful creative center in this world and yet so few women are taught how to maintain it. I didn’t grow up with these practices and have had to learn them along the way. They have empowered my connection to Spirit, supported the embodiment of my Feminine and helped heal my womb.

What to expect:

In a Womb Tending session, we will discuss your current womb health and determine what physical practices can be done to support your goals, whether that be womb healing, improving your libido, connecting to your feminine or otherwise. This is NOT a womb healing session. This is a phone conversation about creating a wellness routine for your womb so that you set the soil for your sacred feminine to rise.

If we are not tending for our wombs, we are not tending to our garden of creation.

We are disconnected to the Power of being a Womb-an and therefore have a harder time understanding the Sacred Role of the Feminine.

When should I NOT steam?

 
 
 

Your cycle and intention will dictate:

  • If you are on your period or pregnant.

  • During pregnancy / after ovulation if you are trying to conceive

  • Have Spontaneous Bleeding in between periods

  • Have any open or recent scar tissue in the perineum area

  • Currently have any infections and open wounds

  • Are under any medical fertility or IVF treatment

Prepare

Stillness

This is your time. Expect to sit in quietude. It is suggested that you put your phone away for deep healing to occur.

Deep Healing

These sessions can bring up anything; from extreme stillness to deeply stored trauma. There is nothing to fear. We are here to hold you through it all.

Move Slowly

Expect to move slowly afterwards.

How Often should I steam?

NORMAL CYCLES

For normal, pain-free cycles, a “maintenance” vaginal steam routine would be 2 - 3 sessions per cycle.

MENSTRUAL DISORDERS

If you suffer from pain, bloating, very heavy flow, little to no flow or exhaustion during menstruation, a steam regiment of 3 sessions before and 3 sessions after your bleed is highly recommended. These sessions should be booked within the week of your menses period. This will prepare your womb to thoroughly cleanse stagnant energy and fully release all that needs to be shed with your cycle.

FERTILITY CHALLENGES

If you are experiencing fertility challenges, steaming once per week, and twice pre-ovulation will help support making the tissue moist and the cervical fluids clear and copious. Expect to steam for three months before seeing results.

For more serious conditions and stronger detox, it is sometimes recommended to steam every other day (throughout the entire cycle). This can be very beneficial for women struggling with long-term fertility issues.

NOTE: Steaming all cycle long should only be done during a cycle where you are NOT trying to conceive.

POSTPARTUM

Midwives administer steams to postpartum mothers within the first 9 days after childbirth, this is ideal. It will help with clots and help the uterus to return to its proper position. Postpartum steaming is not yet conducted at Mu Barre & Temple.

MENOPAUSE

If you are in menopause, yoni steaming is recommended as a way to ensure the uterine membrane is thoroughly cleansed clean before menstruation stops. (Menopausal women have reported passing clots and dark, thick blood even a year after menses has ceased. Women who are experiencing or who have passed menopause can steam weekly. Steaming does not only take care of the womb while menstruating but also helps keep the organs and energy of the womb in a healthy and vital condition.
